"'Not far 'til we reach Ladies' Tarn, then we can sit down and have a snack.' The freshly laid boardwalk turns to a rougher path of dirt and smoothed, well worn boulders. There are sections of delicious squelchy mud. 'Just walk straight through the muddy bits! Don't cause more erosion trying to avoid them' I tell the kids. Getting dirty is always part of the fun."
